Brand New Log Cabins at Loch Awe ready for Easter 2011

Waterside Breaks is delighted to announce the availability of four brand new log cabins at Loch Awe. These properties overlook the loch at Dalavich and will be ready for Easter, April 2011.

These brand new ‘Loch View Cabins’, (Golden Eagle, Osprey, Red Squirrel & Pine Marten) provide lovely self catering accommodation for 6-8 people overlooking Loch Awe. They are located next to the village of Dalavich, on the western shores of Loch Awe in Argyllshire, Scotland, set amid the peace and tranquility of the magnificent Inverliever Forest.

The accommodation consists of open plan lounge, dining area & kitchen, double bedroom (double bed can be split to form two twins – Type B cabin includes an ensuite bathroom), twin bedroom, double bunk room and family shower room. The spacious lounge also includes a sofa bed, which can sleep a further two people if required.

The lounge / dining area, which has a high vaulted ceiling, has satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV & DVD), sofa bed, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. Loch elevation is mainly glazed, to maximise the stunning view, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area. Outside there is parking alongside, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, including picnic table a BBQ area and grassed area. The cabins provide privacy and are bordered by a large open meadow on which children can play safely, while being watched over from the living area.

The cabins are timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. They provide a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm & feel of a true log cabin in a quiet forest location.

Loch Awe is Scotland’s premier ‘Wild’ fishing loch. The 27 mile long fresh water loch is home to a wide assortment of fish. You can catch char, salmon, pike and trout, both brown and rainbow. Loch Awe held the record for the largest brown trout caught in Britain in the year 2000 with a weight just shy of 32lbs. The game season for salmon and trout is from mid March to mid October. Course fishing for perch, roach and pike is all year round.

Whether you want to fish, play golf, explore, take a boat out or sail on the loch, walk or simply relax and read a book, there is plenty for everyone to experience at both Dalavich & Loch Awe.
