These cosy cottages (Cider, Elm & Oak Cottage) are located on a 60 acre tranquil farm homestead, nestling in its own beautiful secluded Wooded Valley, with its Lakes and Meandering Stream making it a secret haven for wildlife. Each of the cottages are furnished to a high standard. With combined washing machine and
dryers, microwave oven, fridge freezers and TV. Cots and
highchairs are available by arrangement. All bedding, linen, electricity, use
garden furniture and BBQ are included in the price.
A perfect cottage for large families or friends to have joint tranquil relaxing holidays at Denbury Farm. Oak Cottage is 200 years old or older with many olde worlde features including beams, two-foot thick walls with exposed stonework and a charming arched window. The Cottage has four bedrooms that will sleep 9 people + cot. There is a large lawn area to the front of the Cottage with garden furniture and barbeque facilities.
Oak Cottage is just a minutes walk to the Lakes for relaxing Fishing Holidays or adventurous Wildlife Holidays.
There is ample car parking for two cars in the Cottage car park. Additional car parking is available in the Farm House Yard and parking area
Fishing is available on three well stocked Lakes that in total are over two acres. The lakes have Specimen Common and Mirror Carp up to 28lb, Specimen Bream up to 11 lb, Specimen Roach and Rudd up to 2 lb 8oz, Tench and Crucian Carp for great Fishing Holidays. The lakes are all close to the holiday cottages.
Denbury Farm is a haven for an amazing array of Somerset Wildlife. Walking through our secluded enclosed Wooded Valley with its Lakes and Meandering Stream is tranquility itself, at dawn and dusk, grazing in the open fields the Red Deer, Roe Deer or Munkjack Deer, Badgers Trail & sets abound where hides are set for you to be able to be close.
You hear the Buzzard calling to its young as it teaches it to hunt rabbits and the Woodpecker pecking to make its nest, you see Tree Creepers, Yellowhammer, Corn Bunting.
Water wildlife around the peaceful and tranquil lakes comes to life, The Otters, Swans, Geese, House Martins and Swallows. Kingfishers can also be seen.
All this amazing Wildlife and much more can be regularly seen at Denbury Farm. Custom made Wildlife Hides and a Tree House are strategically placed around the farm to help you see it all.

If this is not enough to wet your appetite for adventure the West Somerset Steam Railway meanders its way through the Somerset Countryside, and is within five minutes of the cottages. Located on the edge of the Quantock Hills, the Exmoor National Park and a beautiful and diverse coastline with its Quaint Harbours. The Seaside Holiday resort of Minehead is within twenty minutes drive. Footpaths and Bridle paths are in abundance for those wishing to use them.
Bishops Lydeard is very close by with its shops for all your needs, its Inns offer good food and drink. Taunton, the County Town of Somerset is within five miles of the cottages, it offers a wide range of shops, facilities and a twice-weekly livestock market and through the summer months first class. Cricket can be watched at the County Ground. The Lorna Doon Valley and pretty picturesque villages are within a very short distance. In fact the situation of the cottage is fairly central for exploring the beautiful West Country. |

- 20% deposit is required on booking, balance is due 4 weeks beforehand
- Arrival from 3.00pm & 10.30am departure
- A refundable deposit of £25 per dog is to be paid on arrival to cover any damage or extra cleaning needed
