Property Overview

Iona is a wonderful two storey lodge only two hundred yards from the shores of Loch Awe which is the longest Loch in Scotland with islands and bays to explore. It is famed for its wild fishing with record catches for trout and salmon.

The detached lodge is set among the stunningly beautiful and tranquil nature reserve of Inverliever forest famed for its miles of beautiful walks and mountain bike trails many straight from the lodge itself.

Although a relatively unknown Loch this area provides some of the most spectacular scenery in Western Scotland. It is truly one of those rare unspoilt peaceful places to stay yet an ideal base to explore many other attractions in the Western Highlands.

Whether you want to fish, walk, bike, take out a boat at the marina or simply relax on the verandah there is something for all ages to enjoy. The lodge includes fishing rights from the shore and permission to launch a boat from a beach area close to the lodge.

Fishing equipment, boats and bikes can all be hired at the local village of Dalavich a mere five minutes walk from the lodge. There is also a cafe/shop and bar/events room in the village.

Oban, approx 40 mins away has a good selection of shops, a pool, cinema, boat hire and trips to the islands , a great beach, a theatre and not to mention the wonderful fresh fish that comes in to the harbour shop daily!
