Lagnakeil Overview
A truly unique and unrivalled location, this beautiful Scottish land of mountains, lochs and islands can be experienced from the comfort of the self catering Lodges, or spoil yourself in one of the luxury self catering holiday cottages all set in their own large private grounds situated close to, or on the banks of sea loch "Feochan" on Scotland's west coast. The lodge site is set in the hillside in Lerags Glen towards Loch Feochan. All of the holiday lodges are Visit Scotland graded to 3 and 4 star standard and our cottages are all 4 star quality.
At Lagnakeil we can offer you a choice of four self catering holiday cottages and one holiday apartment in Oban, sleeping from 5 to 12. Each of the four cottages and houses and one apartment are individual and have all been upgraded and refurbished since 1997. All have flatscreen TVs with Sky FreeSat TV channels giving a wide range of channels & radio. You can choose from Pitstruan Cottage, which sleeps 10 and has a very tranquil setting right next to the sea loch; Tigh Beg Croft, which sleeps 6 and is a stunning wee croft in an unrivalled setting set in its own 50 acres of hill and seascape with incredible sea views, perfect for a special occasion; Penlarach, which also sleeps 6, a cosy, peaceful cottage near to Lagnakeil and Millstone ideal for gatherings, with sweeping views down the glen towards the sea loch; Argyll Mansions which is a luxurious apartment in Oban and sleeps 5, or Millstone House, sleeping 12, which is a large Scottish house with wonderful views down Lerags glen. Being close to Penlarach and Lagnakeil, it is also ideal for a house party or family gathering.
Lagnakeil is only three miles from Oban, the unofficial capital of the West Highlands. Oban means "little bay" in the old Gaelic tongue. This picturesque harbour town with its many attractions, shopping facilities and fine eating establishments is ideal for those wishing to relax and explore. The town was first made popular in the time of Queen Victoria. She called it "one of the finest spots we have seen" and from the early 1800’s visitors flocked to the place aboard the Comet steamship which linked Glasgow and Oban.
