Enjoying this unrivalled haven on the shores of Lerags Glen, Tigh-na-Mara looks out to the south and west over the sea loch; south facing picture windows give sweeping 270° views across the loch and hills beyond. At night, the shoreline comes alive with wildlife activity and hooting owls lull you to sleep; and during the day the peace is broken only by the sound of sailing yachts coming and going on the loch. Tigh-na-Mara has easy access to Oban and its many fine restaurants, (seafood being its speciality) pubs and shops a short drive or taxi. A cosy country pub with food and folk music is a short walk up the glen.
Savour the peace and watch the changing reflections over the water, the raised cottage situation makes for fabulous sightings of sealife; hawks, geese, and many other birds, not to mention your own fishing access. Walks in the surrounding hills take in Argyll’s famous coastline of island-dotted sea, mountain and forest. Indulge in a wander or bike ride on the many routes close by. Back at the house, you can watch the sunset over the loch, take a hot shower or bath, and settle in front of the wood fire to watch a DVD on the flat screen TV.
