Location
The nearest towns to Letham Feus are Lundin Links, Leven and Cupar, all of which are only a short drive away by car.
Lundin Links
Lundin Links is very much a 19th Century village with charming shops and excellent restaurants, some of which are the very best in the area.
The village itself is beautiful, with some unusual buildings, particularly the Lundin Links Hotel, built with red bricks and tiles with black and white half-timber inserts and headed gables which make it quite a striking design and different from the character of other local buildings.
Sport is a major part in Lundin Links, with two golf courses, the Lundin Links Club and the Lundin Ladies club. The Lundin Links Club is host to the British Open Final Qualifying when contested for at the 'Home of Golf', and is voted among the top links courses in Britain by Golf Monthly magazine. There is also a Bowling Club and Lundin Sports Club, where you can enjoy a game of tennis or squash or have a work out in the gym.
The village also boasts a fine beach, tennis courts and a putting green. Of archaeological interest are the three Lundin Links standing stones, on the Lundin Ladies Club course, which date from the 2nd Millennium BC.
Leven
The town of Leven is beautifully situated at the west end of Largo Bay on the northern shores of the Firth of Forth. As well as featuring a sandy beach, Leven has a good shopping centre with a wide range of shops and restaurants. The town is fortunate to possess a modern swimming pool at the Shorehead, a number of parks and two 18-hole golf courses: Leven Links and Scoonie Golf Course.
There is also an equestrian centre in Leven. And for foodies, just outside the town, is Scotland’s Larder, Scotland’s only commended visitor attraction devoted to Scottish food.
Cupar
The old market town of Cupar lies in the heart of the fertile Howe of Fife. The town is easy to get to, easy to park in, and it is easy to find most items on your shopping list.
Where the streets and shopping malls of larger towns and cities offer a plethora of high street chain stores, Cupar provides a different experience.
Most of Cupar's businesses are family owned and run. With a terrific range of specialty shops, there's a real incentive to spend a day there. From whole foods to bridal dresses, Cupar offers an excellent range of unique shops and a relaxing shopping experience.
Farmer's markets are held in the town centre on the second Saturday of each month, bringing fresh quality produce to your shopping basket.
And, for a small town, Cupar has a good selection of cafés and restaurants. There are also a number of parks worth a visit and the town has good rail links.
