Lonsdale Park offers six cottages which are all furnished to a high standard all set on private fishing lakes with exclusive use of the 5 lakes available. The two-bedroomed cottages offer either twin or double bedroom and a second bedroom with a pair of bunk beds, large shower room and living area.
In addition, the three-bedroomed cottages have a four poster master double bedroom spiral stairway leading to a twin-bedded room with its own en-suite washroom/toilet. Ample parking to the front. The cottages are unique, each having its own private fishing 'peg' with night lighting just a few yards away on Lonsdale Lake along with secure tackle storage for made up rods. Every peg is only a short walk away from your accommodation.
Excellent Fishing - Three of the exclusively reserved cottage pegs are accessible by wheelchair and where there are steps down to them hand rails are fitted for additional safety and convenience. This makes it easy to to bait up a swim and let the fish find your bait whilst you take things easy, have a meal, walk around the delightful lakes, watch TV - or just relax until it's time to get out there and catch some fish.
Set in a 40-acre woodland complex, the park offers five attractive lakes where you can guarantee you won't be crowded by other anglers. In addition to the superb fishing, Lonsdale Park is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District, some of Britain's most beautiful and striking scenery.
With 18 self catering accommodations for visitors to stay on the site, guests can disappear easily into 40 acres of woodland and lakes.
But it's remote location and idyllic scenery doesn't mean you have to leave the luxuries of life behind. The cottages and caravans are all well-equipped and there's an on-site cafe and some lovely country pubs which serve excellent food just a short drive away. |
Disabled & Accessibility
The site is already well laid out over a flat landscape, with excellent paths, two of the exclusively reserved cottage pegs are easily accessible by wheelchair. Where there are steps down to pegs on other cottages hand rails are fitted for additional safety and convenience.
Subtle design features such as extra wide doors help make the cottages wheel chair friendly.
The private peg system makes it easy to to bait up a swim and let the fish come in whilst you take things easy, have a meal or a cup of tea, walk around the lakes, watch TV - you can relax until it's time to get out there and catch some fish, safe in the knowledge that you have your own permanent privately reserved swim.
Of course the site is not a commercial one, and measures are taken to ensure that the site is never crowded - as you can see from the small numbers of accommodation, so there are always plenty of other pegs on all the lakes for you to fish, as well as your private swim.
And after a heavy day by the lakeside, you can return to your own cottage, have a shower in your modern bathroom and prepare to do whatever you want as the daylight slips away.
