At Melfort Harbour and Pier Resort there are a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Scandinavian style houses available which are situated around a harbour with superb views over Loch Melfort. Located on the West Coast of Scotland these lovely cottages are just 16 miles south from the popular town of Oban.

Crow's Nest Balcony Suite is a 2 bedroom first-floor self-catering property which sleeps 6 in 1 double bedroom, a twin or king sized double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Access is via an external flight of stairs. This versatile space is perfect for families or a friends get together. The property is also pet friendly so the whole family can come along. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto a furnished patio which overlooks the Loch. There is also a private sauna. The high cathedral ceiling provides character, elegance and a feeling of space whilst the ambient lighting, underfloor heating and log burning stove entices you to fully relax in this cosy space at the end of a busy day.

This is one of the most beautiful locations by the sea providing an ideal touring base for the Highlands & Islands. Peace, tranquillity and beautiful scenery are the main attractions in the area. Enjoy your morning cuppa from your balcony as you take in the breathtaking views around you. Fishing is available directly from the pier which is a short stroll away. Melfort Pier and the surrounding area are a walkers and cyclist’s paradise so pack your walking boots or bring your own set of 2 wheels and get out and explore.

Alternatively, take a short 30 minute car journey to the coastal town of Oban. From here you can explore the western islands of Mull and Iona by ferry. The short 45 minute journey takes you the enchanted colourful streets of Tobermory, the dramatic cliff top Duart Castle or the miles of pristine beaches such as the famous Calgary Bay. Oban itself, is known as the seafood capital of Scotland so be sure to try out the local delicacies, perhaps after a brisk walk to McCaigs Tower for the spectacular view over Oban Bay. Finish with a wee dram of whisky from the Oban distillery, one of the smallest and oldest in Scotland. After your busy day, have a relaxing sauna before watching the sunset over Loch Melfort or have a movie night snuggled up on the sofa with your log burning fire keeping you toasty and warm.
