Location Overview
Map Location

Set centrally in the Scottish Highlands, the family owned Portnellan Highland estate is a stunning location and great base and location to head off exploring the delights of Scotland with easy access to Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Scottish West Coast, Oban and the Gateway to the Isles, Fort William, Loch Ness and so much more.

Each of the luxury award winning 4* & 5* lodges and cottages are set into the hillside with great views down over the glens and lochs below and mountains beyond. Spacious, tastefully and traditionally furnished to a very high standard, comfort is guaranteed and so too the smile when you open the curtains in the morning and step out onto the balcony.

A short walk down from the cottages and lodges are the two lochs (Loch Luibhair and Loch Dochart) joined by a short stretch of river offering five miles of excellent game fishing. Explore the river and lochs with the free use of Portnellan's canadian canoes and rowing boats. There are even bicycles available to hire so you can enjoy the old railway line and trails around. Just outside the picturesque village of Crianlarich there is a large choice of hill walking, mountain biking, road cycling and spectacular journeys by car to enjoy particularly down to Glencoe.
