Ptarmigan, Heron, Eagle, Whooper, Otter & Osprey Lodges - Dotted across the south and west ridges of the Portnellan hillside, these top
quality lodges offer you memorable high standards in a home-from-home. Each
boasts an L-plan open living space with fitted kitchen, a bathroom with shower,
heater and towel rail, and two bedrooms, one king-size double and one twin.
From the lounge, patio doors open onto your private balcony with garden furniture, barbecue and your own unique vista. Ptarmigan faces east along Glen Dochart (and many visitors think it's the best view on the estate); Eagle, Heron and Osprey look north towards the lochs and cliffs; Whooper is a peaceful sun-trap facing south; and Otter looks straight up to the summit of Ben More in the south.
A short walk from your lodge are 2 lochs (Loch Luibhair and Loch Dochart) and an adjoining river offering 5 miles of game fishing. A wee island on Loch Dochart where Eilean Dochart castle ruin is situated. The lochs, castle and river can be explored by the free use of the estate kayaks canadian canoes and rowing boats. There is also free use of bicycles. On the estate there is a visitors centre offering you free use of over 200 videos and DVD's, local maps and information, walks in the area, board games and magazines. Most lodges have WiFi but for those that don't there is a WiFi hotspot.
