Shepherds Lodge, a large holiday log cabin is nestled amongst 275 acres of private lakes and
woodland a few miles from the historic town of King`s Lynn in West Norfolk. It
stands in it's own 2/3 acre garden, which has several sunny seating areas,
`secret` garden areas, plus a huge lawn overlooking a lake.
The log cabin is a
lovely welcoming holiday home, and is ideal for fishing enthusiasts,
nature lovers, golf enthusiasts, equestrians, walkers, cyclists, relaxing, romantic weekends etc.
Pentney lakes is one of Norfolk's best kept secrets-with all the activities offered on site ie. fishing, water skiing, nature reserve & woodland walks/bike rides its up to you whether you just sit and relax in 285 acres of natures most beautiful country side, wander round the 12 massive lakes or sit and enjoy a meal and a glass or two of your favourite tipple.
All the lakes carry very well maintained Carp and Catfish stocks and provide
some of the best year-round, day and night coarse fishing in the country. See
the on-site bailiff for tickets. A variety of watersports can be arranged both
locally and at the nearby coast. There are several quality golf courses close by
that encourage day memberships. There is also a Horse Society approved stables
just 2 miles away and there are details and prices of horse-riding activities in
the cabin. Norfolk is also famous for the large number of RSPB bird watching
sites and nature reserves.
This part of Norfolk offers an amazing variety of activities and history. A plethora of woodland, forests, lakes, rivers, footpaths and quiet lanes provide an excellent environment for cycling and walking and a selection of books and maps are available in the cabin. The Pentney lakes estate also has a huge diversity of flora and fauna. One of the lakes is managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust as a haven for wildfowl and migratory birds and neighbouring East Winch common is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Pentney Fishing Lakes -
Fishing in specialist lakes on site are well stocked with bream, roach, rudd, pike, cat fish & large carp up to 30 lbs. Day and night fishing tickets available strictly from onsite bailiff. All fishermen should hold a current rod licence.

Location - North Norfolk's excellent Blue Flag beach and Sea Life centre are located 18 miles away at Hunstanton. Royal Sandringham museum and estate are just 8 miles whilst the medieval town of Kings Lynn (6 miles) provide restaurants, bars, pubs, bowling, cinema, theatre and the all important shopping. Swaffham (8 miles ) supplies the local saturday market, shops, restaurants, take aways and much more.
