Waveney River Centre is a family-run 5 star holiday park and marina set in the picturesque Waveney Valley in the Norfolk Broads. It was awarded ‘The Best Broads Holiday Experience’ by EDP Norfolk Tourism Awards in 2012.

Beautiful natural surroundings, heated indoor pool, adventure play areas, on-site well stocked shop, boat hire, water-sports, poolside café – Waveney offers the perfect location for enjoying the water, boating, walking and relaxing for families and groups of all ages.

The very well-equipped, high standard 5* self-catering holiday accommodation available at this location includes spacious 2 or 3 bedroom lodges (2 with luxury Hot Tubs), luxury & stylish 2 bedroom penthouses, modern and stylish static caravans and the 3 bedroom Barnby cottage.

All guests can enjoy unlimited use of the heated indoor swimming pool and spa which also has a café with great views of the pool, the marina and river beyond.  There is also a family-friendly inn called the Waveney Inn which is available for meals & snacks.  For children, the Waveney holiday park boasts a well-equipped adventure play area as well as Eddie’s secret garden full of wildlife together with a pond dipping station where they can dip their nets and discover various creatures!

Fishing from the riverbank at Waveney is free for all guests with a valid rod licence (fishing is not available during the closed season from 15th March to 15th June). Keen anglers can hope to catch pike, roach and bream from either the bank or a boat.  Hiring a rowing boat, canoe, kayak or motorised day cruiser is easy.

You will find the old market town Beccles just a short drive or a 1.5 hour cruise away and Oulton Broad with its large children's park is roughly 20 mins away. Alternatively, discover the delights of the surrounding countryside on foot, hop on the ferry over to the Carlton Marshes Nature reserve and great walks. With so much to see and do, the holiday properties at Waveney River Centre make an ideal choice for families, friends and couples alike.

The Norfolk Broads is a series of inter-connecting rivers and broads covering 303 sq. km mostly in the County of Norfolk. Seven rivers and 63 broads, many pretty villages and beautiful countryside and landscapes makes up the Norfolk Broads and has been coined Britain's 'Magical Waterland'.

With over 200 square kilometres of the Broads is navigable and the best way to explore the market towns, riverside villages, waterside pubs and pretty broads is by boat which can be hired from many different locations throughout.

The Norfolk Broads is made up many marshes, reedbeds, and conservation areas or SSSI's all which homes a huge amount of varied wildlife and offers a delight for birdwatchers, expert and novice coarse and pike fishermen alike.

Many watersports are also available with sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking all very popular. Another great way to explore the Broads is by bike, many cycling trails and paths wind alongside the rivers and broads.

Sandy beaches and popular Norfolk coastal towns are only a short drive away so too the Historic city of Norwich.

  • Fishing on the Norfolk Broads - Popular location for all levels of anglers offering some excellent coarse and pike fishing available right from your doorstep. Pike, roach, tench, bream, rudd, perch amongst many. An Environmental Agency Rod licence will be required to fish on the Broads. Please note: Fishing Season - Open Coarse Season - 16th June to 14th March (no fishing outside these dates)
