Terms & Conditions - Lagnakeil, Nr Oban, Argyll, Scottish Highlands Lodges: Are from 4:00pm on day of arrival until 10:00am on day of departure. Cottages: Are from 2:30pm on day of arrival until 9:00am on day of departure. Booking: When making a reservation, an initial deposit of 25% of full payment per lodge/cottage is required. This is part of the full rental charge. The balance of which must be paid four weeks prior to arrival. Mini-breaks must be paid in full at time of booking. Provisional Bookings: Telephone requests shall be held for 5 working days awaiting booking form & your deposit or full payment. Deposit and Cancellation Insurance: In the event of cancellation, and insurance not taken out, the hirer will forfeit the deposit, and if accommodation remains unoccupied, full fee is payable. You can view details of the policy here » NOTICE OF CANCELLATION: Should be made immediately by telephone, then confirmed in writing/email to C & J Mossman. Electricity: Charged by meter reading in all properties, read on arrival and departure, calculated at Hydro Electricity Board rates plus VAT. Average charge Lodges - May to Oct: £4-£8 / Oct to April: £8-£15 (this may vary due to your own useage requirements and weather conditions at that time) Cottage Fuels: Initial supply of coal, logs & firelighters is included, additional supplies charged as used. Oil central heating supply in Pitstruan and Penlarach has a set weekly charge. Minors: Bookings for those under 16 years cannot normally be accepted. Fires: No fires are to be lit on any part of the grounds or surrounding land. Caravans: No caravans may be parked on the grounds. Availability: Please telephone or email though web site first to secure your preferred date and Lodge/Cottage type to avoid any disappointment as availability can change daily, then confirm by post with relevant deposit. The booking is made in good faith in the belief that the Lodges will be placed at your disposal for the type and dates stated, if for any reason this is not possible through circumstances not under the control of the Proprietor (e.g. fire, theft or damage) we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative Lodge. In such an event the deposit will be refunded in full and as such you will have no claim against the Proprietor or agent, the Proprietors reserve the right to alter or amend the facilities or amenities available without prior notice. Discount Plans: Only one discount offer can be taken at any one time, unless with prior agreement. 10% discount vouchers only available on any one week of holiday, not available during peak periods. No discounts available on mini break prices. Access: The Hirer shall allow the Lender entry to the properties for all reasonable purposes. Accommodation: We ask that they are left in a clean and tidy condition and that should any items be accidentally broken or damaged that you undertake to to inform us & as required replace or repay. Occupancy:The number of people occupying the hired Lodge/cottage must not exceed the numbers stated on booking, without prior arrangement. Use of Accommodation: The hire property shall be used solely for holiday purposes and the Hirer shall not sub-let the properties or any equipment hired to the Hirer. Hirer's Property: No liability is accepted by Lagnakeil Lodges for loss or damage to hired or passengers property, baggage, motor car etc, however caused nor for any accident or mishap to persons whilst on the premises. The owner reserves the right to refuse admission of persons or pets, in the opinion of the owner is not suitable to take charge or causing a disturbance/nuisance which may upset the peace and tranquillity of other holidaymakers. In the event of termination of a let a refund of any unexpired portion of rent will be made. Pricing: We reserve the right to alter/amend prices without notice on both our web site and printed literature and these may differ from time to time. General information Senior Citizens: Special discount of 10% on any one week, not available during peak periods. Additional Weeks: Special discount of £30 for Lodges and £50 for Cottages is given on a second and subsequent weeks booked. Two's Company: If there are 2 or less people (or 2 & a baby) and you book a 2 or 3 bedroom Lodge you will be given a discount of £25 off your booking. Excludes Beech Lodge & mini breaks. Towels & Linen: Contract quality Laundry bed linen & towel set supplied, beds being fully made up for arrival. All bedrooms feature duvet. Cots/Highchairs: Are available free of charge, please supply your own cot linen. Outside Lighting: Is minimal on site, it would be advisable to bring a torch. Playroom: This area has a TV, video, with games & toys for children to play and keep themselves amused while you relax. (unsupervised) Supermarkets: Tesco and the co-operative are both only five minutes drive into Oban, both open: Mon - Sat 8am - 10pm, Sun 9am - 6pm. please note due to area size no home delivery available TV's and Videos: Colour flat screen televisions are in all properties. DVD player rental available for lodges. Cottage have own Video/DVD. Video/DVD hire & film rental available on request. Barbecues: Available free of charge. Telephone & Wi-Fi internet access: Best mobile signal at Lagnakeil, Vodaphone & 02 Dishwashers:Available in all Lodges & Cottages, except Beech Lodges. Laundrette: On lagnakeil site with coin operated washing machines & tumble dryers, Cottages have own. Irons and ironing boards are also available in all properties. Car Parking: Close to every Lodge and Cottage. Fishing: Free on Loch Scammadale, rods available. Tigh Beg have their own fishing rights from shoreline. Country Pub: Only a short walk up the Glen from Lagnakeil (10/15 mins), you will find a Country Pub serving good home cooked food and fine ales, during the summer months music evenings are held and local music jaming sesions on sunday afternoon year round.
