Property Overview

Hedera House in Thurne offers great value, flexible good value holiday accommodation, set in 2 acres of picturesque gardens and benefiting from a heated outdoor pool and a games room where you can play pool or table tennis.

Choose from a Villa (2 bedrooms + sofa bed), an Azalea bungalow (1 bedroom + sofa bed), a Morisa bungalow (2 bedrooms), The Cottage (2 bedrooms), or, for that larger get-together with family and friends, the charming Hedera House (7 bedroomed Georgian farmhouse).

If you enjoy fishing then you can take the 50 yard stroll to Thurne Dyke to the windmill and also you will find good coarse fishing along the scenic river bank. Hedera House is superbly located for boating on the Broads and mooring of small craft and free launching is available at Thurne Dyke.

There is also a village shop at Thurne, which provides for most of your self-catering needs. However, if you feel like taking a break from kitchen duties then the pet friendly Lion Inn riverside pub makes excellent food. While you are relaxing with a drink there, the children can enjoy playing air hockey or pool or even have a go on the swings at the village playing field next door.

If you wish to use the car to discover the delights of the Norfolk Broad from your base at Hedera House, then Great Yarmouth is only 10 miles away, while historic Norwich is 16 miles away.

Fishing on the Norfolk Broads - a very popular location for all levels of anglers offering some excellent coarse and pike fishing available right from your doorstep. Pike, roach, tench, bream, rudd, perch amongst many others are regularly caught. An Environmental Agency Rod licence will be required to fish on the Broads. There are many rod hire, tackle and bait shops available locally.
