One of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. Loch Tay is a large freshwater loch and a wonderful location for a Scottish Highland holiday and a great base to explore some the best Scotland has to offer. From stunning scenery, imposing mountain ranges, historic castles, beautiful lochs, excellent fishing and a multitude of wildlife abound.

The highest local peak, Ben Lawers at 1,214 metres high it stands majestically overlooking Loch Tay which is just over 14 miles long. Killin at the west end of the loch with the spectacular Falls of Dochart stands at one end with another pretty village of Kenmore standing at the head of the loch at the other.

Surrounded by mountains, lochs and rivers, Loch Tay Highland Lodges is located just three miles outside of Killin on the northern shores of Loch Tay. There is a great choice of 1-4 bedroom Highland lodges overlooking Loch Tay offering extensive holiday options and choices for groups, families, couples alike. From the new contemporary styled single bedroom woodland cabins with views to hills beyond to the more spacious traditional lodges each with lovely loch views and balconies offering a popular spot to relax, BBQ and enjoy the scenery.

Situated in their own picturesque 'dome village' the geo domes at Loch Tay enjoy picturesque views of the Ben Lawers mountain range and the impressive Loch Tay. The domes are furnished with a large double bed and feature wood burning stove which creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere, it really is camping in luxury!

The Boathouse restaurant and bar overlooks the marina where a fleet of fishing boats are available for hire and fishing trips. Water sports are available on site, wildlife safaris, great walks, golf, mountain biking, horse riding and deer stalking are all available locally. Skiing at Glencoe is only an hour away.

Fishing: Loch Tay is popular for fly fishing - salmon, sea trout, brown and rainbow trout. Coarse fishing is also popular with good bank fishing available for pike, roach, perch and grayling. With a fleet of fishing boats available for hire for the day or half day include the appropriate rod licence. Ghillies are available for local knowledge and instruction.
