2 Lochview is located at Taymouth Marina in the Scottish Highlands. Only a short drive to the pretty villages of Kenmore, Aberfeldy & Killin where there are a good variety of restaurants and pubs.

The Scottish Crannog Centre is located alongside Taymouth Marina.

There are numerous attractions in the local area, including The Ben Lawers Mountain Range, Loch Tay Safaris, White Water Rafting, McQueen Gin Distillery and Castle Menzies.

The property is located on the banks of Loch Tay. On-site facilities include a restaurant, a 'Hot Box' sauna and a great range of outdoor activities.

Terms & Conditions


Payment

A deposit of 25%, or payment in full for bookings within 8 weeks of the holiday date, is payable at the time of booking. Confirmation will be sent by post or email upon receipt of the deposit. The balance of the cost of the holiday is due 8 weeks before arrival. No further reminders will be sent. We reserve the right to re-let the property if final payment is not received by the due date. You are strongly advised to check availability prior to returning a booking request. The person making the booking is responsible for all such payments. Payments should be made by Credit or Debit Card, Bank Transfer.

Booking

A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.
Provisional booking will be held for 7 days, after which time we reserve the right to let to other customers. Provisional bookings should be confirmed as soon as possible with a deposit or full payment as detailed above at which point the booking becomes binding.


Cancellation

A holiday booking with us forms a legal contract. If you are unable to take up the holiday and cottage you are still liable for the full cost. You should notify us as soon as you are aware of the need to cancel. If we are able to re-let the cottage for the same period, and you do not have holiday insurance cover, we will refund, or deduct from what is owed, any such rental monies received, or due to be paid, less the deposit paid. In all circumstanced the deposit is non-refundable.
Should we have to cancel your holiday booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will make every effort to offer or find alternative accommodation. However, if this is not possible all monies paid to us in relation to the cancellation will be fully refunded. Our liability will not extend beyond this.

Insurance

We strongly advise that you take out suitable holiday or cancellation insurance to cover eventualities.

Availability

Booking of cottages is normally on a Friday to Friday basis, with arrival after 4.00pm on the start date. It is a strict requirement that the property is vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. We reserve the right to make additional charge if you depart late and we have to incur extra cleaning costs to prepare for the next booking. Short breaks are also available for a minimum of 3 nights and the same conditions apply.

Cottage Use

Nothing in these terms or in the booking procedure will imply any form of tenancy agreement. Taymouth Marina and The White Tower are let solely on a holiday use basis, for the days agreed. You are required to take all reasonable care to protect the property and its contents and to ensure that it is fully cleaned and tidied before your departure. We reserve the right to make additional charge to cover costs we may additionally incur to prepare for the next booking for properties not left as found in arrival. The number of people occupying the property shall not exceed those stated for each of the premises and as agreed at the time of booking.

Damages and Breakages

A security/good housekeeping deposit of £300 will be due for each booking. This should be paid by separate cheque, which will not be cashed until the week prior to guests' arrival date, or by pre-authorisation on a credit or debit card. In the event of deductions being required, full details of deductions i.e. damage, breakages or extra cleaning required, will be provided. Security deposits (minus any deductions) will be returned within 10 days of guest departure.
You are fully responsible for any damage or breakage you or members of your party cause to the cottage, contents or grounds. You are asked to report any such damage at the earliest convenience to enable repair or replacement to be arranged.

Noise Restrictions

In a rural environment noise tends to travel and therefore as a courtesy to all guests, noise restrictions are in effect throughout Taymouth Marina from 10pm onwards. A 1st offence will result in a £200.00 charge and a 2nd offence will result in automatic eviction without refund of funds paid.

Hot Tub

If your apartment has a Hot Tub, we ask that it NOT be used between 10pm and 8am. If you are seen to be using the Hot Tub between these hours, a £200.00 deduction will be made from your good housekeeping deposit. Children Children of all ages are welcome to our properties however they must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Pets

Taymouth Marina only allow pets in some properties and an additional cleaning fee is payable. Pets are not permitted in Ben More, Ben Oss, Bein Ghlas or Ben Lawers or Number 6 Lawers View. a penalty of £200.00 will be charged if there is any indication of a pet in the property.

Smoking

In the interests of safety and for the comfort of future guests Taymouth Marina and The White Tower is strictly no smoking. A penalty of £200.00 will be charged if there is any indication of smoking in the property.

Vehicles

We have ample space for parking. Four wheel drive vehicles are recommended during winter months.

Advertising

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that any advertising that exists is up-to-date and accurate. However, we reserve the right to make changes as required and accept no liability for minor inaccuracies. Guests are required to ensure that the information they may have seen is recent and up-to-date. All information is given in good faith.

Activity Bookings

All activity bookings are subject to confirmation. Each activity is subject to its own individual terms and conditions which will be made available to you at the time of booking confirmation. At the time of hire there will be a security deposit required which can be made either by card or cash. All hires are subject to weather conditions on the day of hire. Any reference to family hire implies hire for up to 2 adults and 3 children, other family sizes can be accommodated please phone for more details. In order to hire any of the sailing craft the hirer is required to have some sailing experience and able to demonstrate basic control of the craft.

Liability

We cannot accept liability for injury to persons. We also will not accept any responsibility for the personal belongings of The Client or the Client's vehicles and it is the responsibility of the Client to arrange appropriate insurance cover. The Owners and their agents do not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.

Access

We retain the right to enter the property at any reasonable time for the purpose of repair work, inspection etc. We will normally make all reasonable effort to give forewarning.

Complaint

Should you have complaints during your stay you should advise us immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
If we receive complaints about you or your party, we will bring these to your attention. If the cause of complaint continues we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately without compensation or reimbursement of monies paid.

Legal

This agreement shall be governed by and subject to Scottish Law. Should any clause not be permissible in Law, the remainder of the contract shall remain valid. None of the above shall affect your statutory rights.

Holiday insurance is recommended but not a mandatory requirement for booking this property. However no money can be refunded if you cancel as you are legally bound to pay for a holiday you cancel.

  • The variety of fish at Loch Tay include: salmon, sea trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, pike, perch and roach.
  • Fishing boats are available to hire, £25 per hour or £90 per day.
  • The trout fishing season runs from the 15th March - 7th October.
  • The salmon fishing season runs from the 15th January - 15th October.

Local Supermarkets - Co-Op and Spa are a 15 minute drive away in the town of Aberfeldy.
