Property Overview
Property Location

This is one of two 'houseboats' lodges (The River Lodge, sleeps 4 is the other) and is fitted out to a very high standard.

Located in the picturesque village of Horning in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, our "Log Cabin" style Houseboats offer an ideal base for exploring the Broads and the surrounding area or just for sitting and doing a quiet spot of fishing (fishing parties welcome).

The picturesque village has many convenient and interesting shops, a deli, butchers, newsagent, post office, small grocery store and several restaurants & tearooms. There is also a small leisure centre with a heated indoor swimming pool and gymnasium. A launderette is also located within this complex. The riverbanks are lined with luxurious properties both residential and holiday homes and the village green offers temporary moorings to visiting boats. This is a nice place to sit and enjoy views of the river and watch the sailing boats from the nearby yacht club.

Horning is situated on the River Bure in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The village is just 10 miles from the city of Norwich with its historical Cathedral & Castle, The Castle Mall & new Chapelfield Shopping Centres are within easy reach, as is the Riverside complex, which is ideal for wet days with a multi screen cinema and large bowling alley. The popular seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just 17 miles away and boasts long, clean and safe sandy beaches and a lively funfair. Just 3 miles away from the village is Wroxham, home to the famous Roys of Wroxham said to be the largest village store in the world and considered by many to be the Gateway of the Broads. In the other direction, again just 3 miles away is Potter Heigham with a medieval bridge and Lathams store which is a must for bargain hunters and keen fishermen.
