Eagle Lodge is one of four holiday lodges situated on the Southern shores of Loch Awe amongst five acres of peaceful grounds. Inside, this charming loch-side lodge has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area and can accommodate up to four people in one double and one twin bedroom.

There is a lovely shared lawned garden which the lodges overlook and there is a private BBQ hut available to hire for an extra charge of £30 per night (charcoal is provided).

Loch Awe provides a wonderful setting for a short break or weekly holiday. Ideal for fishermen, nature lovers & the adventurous. Here you are only a short drive to the town of Oban - a lovely harbour town with excellent fresh seafood, variety of shops, its own distillery and regular ferries shuttling between the many popular islands.

Oban is known as 'the Seafood Capital of Scotland', with many holidaymakers falling in love with the area and returning year after year. With such stunning scenery, beautiful mountain ranges, breathtaking lochs and a huge abundance of wildlife it's not hard to see why!

Terms & Conditions


CHARGES & TERMS:-

A deposit of 25% per break/holiday secures the reservation. The full cost of the holiday is payable 4 weeks before arrival. If you book less than 4 weeks prior to your holiday, we will require full payment at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION:-

Cancellation after final payment made results in loss of all rental fees. If you cancel more than 4 weeks before the start date your deposit will be forfeited. If this is a concern guests may wish to take out holiday insurance.

PAYMENT:-

All payments should be made by cheque or BACS transfer to the owners directly.

OCCUPANCY:-

Occupancy shall be from 4.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure.

GROUP BOOKINGS:-

The owners reserve the right to refuse group bookings or other persons who in their opinion are unsuitable for the accommodation.

PETS:-

Well behaved pets are accepted. There is a £15 surcharge for each pet (max 2) - please enquire. Pets are not allowed on furniture / beds at any time and not to be left in the property unnattended.

CARS:-

There is car parking available alongside the property.

BED LINEN & TOWELS:-

All bed linen is included in the holiday price. Guests need to bring their own towels.

ELECTRICITY & GAS:-

Included in the hire charge.

SMOKING:-

For the comfort of all guests NO SMOKING is allowed in the chalets.

IN CASE OF COMPLAINT:-

While it is unlikely that you should have a complaint, occasionally things do go wrong. If you have a problem during your stay, you MUST inform the owners immediately who will endeavour to rectify the matter. The owners will not accept liability for any dissatisfaction or other complaint not reported during your stay.

Fishing at Loch Awe

Important Information

  • Free fishing from the shores in front of the log cabins
  • Loch Awe is famous for its record brown trout (British Record), but is also home to rainbow trout, salmon, sea trout, monstrous pike, perch, eels, roach, and the 'rare' Arctic char.
  • Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or hire one locally.
  • The salmon fishing season runs from the 15th January - 15th October.
  • The trout fishing season runs from the 15th March - 5th October.

The Hollow Mountain - Lying deep within Ben Cruachan is one of the country’s most amazing engineering achievements - a power station buried one kilometre below the ground.

Inverawe Country Park - Set at the foot of Ben Cruachan, surrounded by beech and oak woods with spectacular views over the River Awe into Glen Lonan.

Kilchurn Castle - At the north eastern corner of Loch Awe lies Kilchurn Castle, built in the 15th century by Sir Colin Campbell, probably the most photographed castle in Scotland.
