Yew Cottage is one of two comfortable semi-detached single level holiday properties sleeping up to 4 guests in each. Situated on a small private estate less than a mile from the pretty seaside town of Penmaenmawr and its attractive beach, this cosy holiday cottage is surrounded by stunning Welsh countryside with views over lush green hills and across the beautiful Conwy coastline. On the estate you will also find a well-established, nationally recognised Troutmaster Fishery with a reputation for excellence in fly-fishing, making this the perfect place for both anglers and holidaymakers alike.

Yew Cottage is a great place to choose if you’re looking for a tranquil place to stay which is only a short distance away from local attractions and amenities. Sleeping 4 people, the cottage has 2 bedrooms – a double room and a room with two bunk beds. Clean, modern and decorated to a decent standard, this comfortable little cottage has a well equipped kitchen with everything you might need for your stay. The cosy sitting room has soft seating, a dining table with chairs and a large wall-mounted TV. Both bedrooms have storage space and the family bathroom has a shower, WC, heated towel rail and washbasin. Externally, there is a lawned area to the front of the property with a picnic table provided, giving you a pleasant outdoor space where you can sit for a spot of al-fresco dining or enjoy the fresh air. Yew Cottage has radiator central heating throughout. Bed linen and towels provided. Free Wifi for your convenience. Parking within easy walking distance of the property.

For a larger family or group of friends, why not book both properties together? Yew Cottage and Elm Cottage are next door to eachother; both with the exact same facilities and with a mirror-image layout.

There is so much to see and experience in the local area and Yew Cottage makes the perfect base for a really enjoyable holiday. The local town of Penmaenmawr has local cafés, pubs, shops and supermarkets; plus a wonderful beach that stretches as far as the eye can see, where you can view some absolutely stunning sunsets. Close by there is an Aqua Park with facilities for all age groups. The local train station is less than a mile from the cottage and has regular departures for Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Bangor or Conwy if you’d prefer not to drive, or those same places make great days out if you’re bringing your own transport. Other nearby places of interest include the island of Anglesey, the royal town of Caernarfon and the Snowdonia National Park. Yew Cottage is also a fabulous central hub if you love cycling, with the local area just calling out to be discovered at your own pace. For keen anglers, the estate’s award-winning fishery is just a stone’s throw away.

Location Information

Located a 20 minute walk away from Panmaenmawr Beach with it's own promenade with cafe, playground, paddling pool and skate park.

The nearest train station is Penmaenmawr Station a 15 minute walk away.

For supermarkets there are a Co-Op and a spar located in Penmaenmawr or there is a Tescos in Llandudno Junction a 15 minute drive away.

Terms & Conditions


Bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions.

The accommodation is for a holiday only and should be left in a clean and tidy condition.

The number of occupants may not exceed the number stated. Please note that exceeding the number of people could invalidate our insurance cover and is also a serious breach of fire regulations. In view of this guests who are not staying may visit during the day but strictly by prior arrangement only.

The accommodation will be ready from 4:00 p.m. on day of arrival (but may be available sooner) and must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on day of departure (unless otherwise arranged.) Luggage may be left by arrangement.

Please make your payment at least 28 days before your holiday is due to start. Cheques should be made payable to Graiglwyd Springs Holiday Cottages.

In the event of cancellation, please let us know immediately by telephone, followed by a letter, or e-mail and we will do our utmost to re-let for you. However, if we are unable to re-let, you will be responsible for payment of the balance of rent owing. Guests may not re-let accommodation to a 3rd party without prior agreement. Deposits are non-refundable 28 days before arrival. See further terms and conditions on our Booking Form regarding cancellation and Rules.

All Cottages are non-smoking. No large all male/female parties or groups of young persons accepted as the property is not suitable.

Anyone causing a nuisance to other guests will have to leave and will not be entitled to a refund.

Anything damaged by yourself must be reported & paid for in full.

Use of car parking is at guests own risk.

WiFi Terms and Conditions

1. By using and/or activating service with us you agree to be bound by this agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of the agreement, do not use the service.

2. Extent of the Service

2.1. All services are provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that the service is fault free or fit for any particular purpose, or that our system is secure. You assume all responsibility and risk for use of the service.
2.2 Save for the purposes of network diagnostics we do not examine the use to which you put the Service or the nature of the information you send or receive.
2.3 We will always try to make the service available, but it may be interrupted, limited or curtailed due to maintenance and repair work, transmission or equipment limitations/failures.
2.4 We reserve the right at all times to withdraw the Service, change the specifications or manner of use of the Service, to change access codes, usernames, passwords or other security information necessary to access the service.

3 Access the Service.

3. Your Use of the Service

3.1 You must not use the Service to access Internet Services, or send or receive e-mails, which:
3.1.1 are defamatory, threatening, intimidatory or which could be classed as harassment;
3.1.2 contain obscene, profane or abusive language or material;
3 Civil and criminal liability can arise from monitoring content or interception of e-mails and extreme care should be taken to ensure that this does not happen.
3.1.3 contain pornographic material (that is text, pictures, films, video clips of a sexually explicit or arousing nature);
3.1.4 contain offensive or derogatory images regarding sex, race, religion, colour, origin, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition or sexual orientation;
3.1.5 contain material which infringe third party’s rights (including intellectual property rights);
3.1.6 in our reasonable opinion may adversely affect the manner in which we carry out our business or are otherwise unlawful or inappropriate;
3.2 Music, video, pictures, text and other content on the internet are copyright works and you should not download, alter, e-mail or otherwise use such content unless certain that the owner of such works has authorised its use by you.
3.3 We may terminate or temporarily suspend the Service if we reasonably believe that you are in breach of any provisions of this agreement including but not limited to clauses 2.1 to 2.3 above.
3.4 We recommend that you do not use the service to transmit or receive any confidential information or data and should you choose to do so you do so at your own risk.
3.5 The Service is intended for consumer use only. In the event that you use the Service for commercial purposes we would specifically refer you to clause 5.2 below.

4 Child Supervision

4.1 We are concerned about the safety and privacy of our users, particularly children. Parents who wish to allow their children access to and use of the Website/Services should supervise such access and use. By allowing your child access to the Services you are allowing your child access to all of the Services, including email, bulletin boards, chat areas, news groups, forums and/or other message or communication facilities. It is therefore your responsibility to determine which Services are appropriate for your child. Always use caution when revealing personally identifiable information about yourself or your children via any of the Services.

5. Criminal Activity

5.1 You must not use the Service to engage in any activity which constitutes or is capable of constituting a criminal offence, either in the United Kingdom or in any state throughout the world.
5.2 You agree and acknowledge that we may be required to provide assistance and information to law enforcement, governmental agencies and other authorities.
5.3 You agree and acknowledge that we may keep a log of the Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses of any devices which access the Service, the times when they have accessed the Service and the activity associated with that IP address.
5.4 You further agree we are entitled to co-operate with law enforcement authorities and rights-holders in the investigation of any suspected or alleged illegal activity by you which may include, but is not limited to, disclosure of such information as we have (whether pursuant to clause 3.3 or otherwise), and are entitled to provide by law, to law enforcement authorities or rights-holders.

6. Our Use of your Information

6.1 Subject to clauses 5.3 and 5.4 above we confirm that we shall use the contact details you provide to us solely for the purposes of contacting you with marketing information, updates, promotions and special offers relating to our business.
6.2 It is important to ensure that this clause is complied with (or amended depending on how the data is used) and Data you collect is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any mailings comply with the the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003

7. Other Terms

7.1 You agree to compensate us fully for any claims or legal action made or threatened against us by someone else because you have used the service in breach of these terms and conditions, and in particular clause 3.1 to 3.3 and 5.1 above.
7.2 Whilst we do not seek to limit our responsibility for fraudulent misrepresentation or if you are injured or die as a result of our negligence we have no responsibility (to the extent permitted by law) to compensate you (whether or not we are negligent) for any direct financial loss, loss of profit, revenue, time, anticipated savings or profit or revenue, opportunity, data, use, business, wasted expenditure, business interruption, loss arising from disclosure of confidential information, loss arising from or in connection with use of the service or inability to use or access the service or a failure, suspension or withdrawal of all or part of the service at any time or damage to physical property or for any other similar direct loss that may arise in relation to this agreement whether or not we were advised in advance of the possibility of such loss or damage.
7.3 This agreement is governed by the law of England.

Important Information

  • The lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout, Blue Trout and Brown Trout, roughly 1.5lbs – 3.5lbs in size.
  • Lake is approximately 250 metres away from the accommodation.
  • Fishing pegs are accessed via a level flagged path.
  • Accessible fishing pegs are available, car parking is 5 metres from the lake.
  • Fly fishing is available from 20th September to 1st May.
  • Fishing charges are: £25 for 4 hours and keep 2 fish or £20 for 4 hours practicing catch and release.

Fishing rules:

  • Night fishing is not permitted.
  • A maximum of 1 rod per person.
  • Please use spinner, fly and maggot baits only.
  • Bait boats and bivvies are not permitted.
  • Fishing equipment can be hired, please enquire on arrival.

Local Attractions

Sblash Aqua Park

Beaches & Walks - in the local area there are beaches to explore and plenty of walks to enjoy, such as Panmaenmawr Beach and Huw Tom Upland Walk.

Zip World - an outdoor adventure park, there are two locations close by, Bethesda location is 25 mintues and Betws-y-Coed location is 35 minutes by car. In the Bethesda location is located in Penryh Quarry with mutliple zip wire experiences and Quarry Karts. Betws-y-Coed location is situated amougst the trees, with various treetop activities and a Skyride.

Bodnant Garden - 20 minutes by car, 10.5 miles, you will find this world famous National Trust garden, home to national collections and champion trees. With an on site cafe, booke shop for all to explore.

Eryri National Park - 21 minutes by car, 11 miles away. You will find the nearest entry point to the Eryri National Park, that covers a total of 823 square miles and is Wales' largest national park.

Sblash Aqua Park - 2 minutes on foot, right next to the proeprty location you will find Sblash Aqua Park, a unique location to make memories and this inflatable water obstacle course. Open between May and end of September.

Local Castles - There are many castles in the surrounding area, the closest being Castell Conwy, a 15 minutes drive away, 5.5 miles.
