Property Overview
Property Location

One of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. Loch Tay is a large freshwater loch and a wonderful location for a Scottish Highland holiday and a great base to explore some the best Scotland has to offer. From stunning scenery, imposing mountain ranges, historic castles, beautiful lochs, excellent fishing and a multitude of wildlife abound.

A spacious, luxurious, detached house, in its own private and secluded gardens. Loch Tay house is built on the 'upside down' principle, the better to enjoy the stunning views from its balconies and the glass walled public rooms upstairs. Downstairs there are four bedrooms, three with private facilities (the sauna is accessed from the bathroom in the master bedroom and is paid by meter).

The house is built on a plateau overlooking the loch, with terraced grounds to the front, with palm trees, furniture and summer house. A path leading down through the gardens gives access to the loch - the house has been cleverly positioned so that the holiday chalets away down beneath it, are completely hidden from its windows and gardens.

The highest local peak, Ben Lawers at 1,214 metres high it stands majestically overlooking Loch Tay which is just over 14 miles long. Killin at the west end of the loch with the spectacular Falls of Dochart stands at one end with another pretty village of Kenmore standing at the head of the loch at the other.

Surrounded by mountains, lochs and rivers, Loch Tay Highland Lodges is located just three miles outside of Killin on the northern shores of Loch Tay. There is a great choice of 1-4 bedroom Highland lodges overlooking Loch Tay offering extensive holiday options and choices for groups, families, couples alike. From the new contemporary styled single bedroom woodland cabins with views to hills beyond to the more spacious traditional lodges each with lovely loch views and balconies offering a popular spot to relax, BBQ and enjoy the scenery.

The Boathouse restaurant and bar overlooks the marina where a fleet of fishing boats are available for hire and fishing trips. Water sports are available on site, wildlife safaris, great walks, golf, mountain biking, horse riding and deer stalking are all available locally. Skiing at Glencoe is only an hour away.
