General

Located on the shores of Lower Lough Erne in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland are the Manor House Marine Cottages. Here there are a collection of 2 bedroom holiday cottages set next to the marina. There are 12 lodges in total, 6 on the lower level and 6 on the upper level, all with large windows with views towards the Lough. Inside, the cottages are furnished to a high standard and can accommodate up to 6 in 2 twin bedrooms and a sofa bed which is in the living area. Perfect for a friends or family trip. You have a veranda and picnic table as your own outdoor space.

Onsite there are plenty of facilities to enjoy including an outdoor tennis court, pitch and putt, games room and boules pit. The hotel, which is only 100 yards from the cottages, has full leisure facilities available at an extra charge. These include 20m pool, sauna, steam room, gym and jacuzzi etc. Fishing is available directly in front of the cottages on the private fishing jetties and shoreline (permits available to purchase on site). Day boats are available to hire if you wish to explore Lough Erne from the water.

Just 6 miles away is Enniskillen, the County Town of Fermanagh which is situated on a natural island separating the Upper and Lower sections of Lough Erne. This area is often referred to as a visitor’s paradise with beautiful unspoilt countryside and waterways waiting to be explored. This is a popular location for angling and watersports with many castles, gardens and heritage sites locally.

A 20 minute drive further south will bring you to the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail which is a beautiful hiking area for those looking for something more active. This 4 mile linear walk takes you through dramatic limestone scenery, over blanket bog and then to the summit of Cuilcagh mountain. The final ascent is via a steep section of steps known locally as the “Stairway to Heaven”. At the top you are graced with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. A slightly more relaxed option would be the Marble Arch Caves which can be found at the foot of the mountain. Forming part of Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, a guided tour will take you on a 340 million year old geology journey of this ancient cave system.

After your busy day of activities, why not treat yourself to some spa time in the hotel before returning to your lodge to enjoy the lough side views from your property.
