River Retreat was has recently been refurbished and is situated in a wonderful position, set in a private marina in Brundall. Brundall is located in the heart of the Broads just South East of Norwich city centre and is an ideal base from which to enjoy your Norfolk Broads holiday. This charming waterside property is perfect for a large family or a group of friends. The property sleeps 6 people in two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. The living space is open plan with French windows leading to the decking area and private garden.

River Retreat also has a mooring available to moor a day boat, allowing you to explore what the broads has to offer via the water. Or you can just sit back and watch other boats cruise on by. In addition to boats there is the opportunity to see a variety of local wildlife so bring along your binoculars as there is an abundance of activity throughout the year. You can even try a spot of fishing direct from the decking of the property during the open season, which runs from 16th June to 14th March. (Fishing Rod licence required)

Brundall village has a laid back sleepy approach and you will soon settle into the peaceful way of living. The village is well serviced with some nice shops, a supermarket, chemist and some nice pubs and restaurants so if you wish you can just sit back, relax and let the world go by. However, Brundall has the convenience of 2 train stations making it accessible for exploring both the medieval city of Norwich or have nostalgic day at the seaside town of Great Yarmouth. There are many family attractions in the area such as the Bure Valley Railway in Wroxham, Wroxham Barns shopping and craft centre and Belwilderwood Treehouse Adventure in Horning. Your holiday can be as active or relaxed as you like but hopefully the relaxing holiday vibe will continue long after your return home.

The property is situated perfectly for exploring places on the broads, such as Norwich or Great Yarmouth, accessible easily by car and rail, the nearest train station is Brundall.

The Norfolk Coast and sandy beaches are a short drive away from the property.

There are numerous family-friendly attractions in the local area, including Wroxham Barns, BeWilderwood, Bure Valley Railway and Broads Tours river trips.

Access Information

Parking is available adjacent to the property via a level gravel path and driveway.
There is 1 step up onto level ground from the car parking area.
There is small gate to open and then follow the footpath round to the front of the property.
There are a further 6 steps to the property entrance with the assistance of a handrail on both sides.
A ramp is also available for easier access to the front entrance.
The property is all on level inside.
There is a threshold step through the French doors to the furnished veranda.
There are 6 steps or a ramp leading from the veranda to the front garden which is a mixture of grass, gravel and grass.
Fishing is available approximately 7 metres from the property via the stairs or ramp.
Fishing is available direct from the quay heading.
Please Note: The water’s edge is open and unfenced so caution is required.
