You are responsible for the safe use of the equipment within the scope of rules you will be given at check in. You are responsible for the behaviour of people in your party who use the hot tub. The hot tub will be emptied from 8.00am on the day of your departure and will not be available for your use thereafter.

We are under any obligation to find any alternative accommodation for you.

You must not exceed the number of guests that you declared at the time of booking to sleep overnight in the lodge/log cabin. Even if there is spare accommodation in your lodge you must notify us in advance if you wish any visitors to stay over. This is so we can comply with fire regulations and health and safety. We need to know who is on the park.

Guests staying in the lodges and will notice that they will pass a pair of five-bar gates located close to the entrance of the livery yard. The gates are opened first thing in the morning but will closed in the evening when the yard shuts. We understand that it may be inconvenient to open and close the gates if you go out or return to Willow Lakes outside of those hours, but for the safety of our guests they serve a useful function by discouraging uninvited people to gain access to the park. Your co-operation is appreciated.

Pets are not permitted in our cottages, lodges, and log cabins under any circumstances. The only exception to this is for registered assistance dogs for guests with a sight or hearing impediment and is always subject to availability which must be requested at the time of booking.

Local Fishing Information

Willow Lakes Fishing

Important Information

There are two well stocked fishing lakes at Willow Lakes, which are available for customers staying on site free of charge.
Please note: Wren Lodge is set back from the lake and has woodland views. A fence prevents direct access to the lake, however you can walk around the lake to fish nearby.
Fishing is permited from dawn til dusk only.
Willow Lakes passionately care for the welfare of all the fish and the wildlife on the park. Please make sure you do not leave discarded line and take all litter and unused bait back to your accommodation. Do not discard anything into the lake. Our rules exist to safeguard our fish stocks and the environment they live in. We also want to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable fishing experience.

Please read these rules carefully before you fish. Failure to observe the rules or acting in a way which interferes with others enjoyment of the park or use of the lake, will result in the offender being immediately removed and subsequently banned from the fishing at Willow Lakes. Anyone found killing and or removing fish will be prosecuted.

  • You are reminded that you and every member of your party (it's the law), should be in possession of a valid Rod Licence each. Please note that the fishing is strictly for guests only. You must obtain permission from Reception before you or your guests start to fish and must have shown your licence/s are up to date first.

  • Fishing is permitted from dawn to dusk - there is strictly NO night fishing. Anglers must park in the designated car park by the lake and NOT on the verges or banks by the lake. Please bear in mind that some guests staying in the lodges and log cabins may have no interest in fishing and should not be disturbed unnecessarily. Please keep mobile phone ring tone volumes to a minimum as sound travels (as does music) and do not light fires. The use of BBQ’s and cooking equipment is strictly banned around the lake for obvious reasons.

  • Access is only permitted to the public areas. Please do not climb on the gates or fences or fish the areas directly in front of the log cabins and lodges (unless you are staying in a lodge or log cabin, where you can fish immediately outside your lodge, but you must not fish from the balcony under any circumstances).

  • All fish must be returned to the water immediately. Do not use keep nets or sacks to retain fish. When returning fish to the water, you must use a sling, zipped unhooking mat or landing net regardless of distance being carried, and use a carp care kit in case of damage to the fish. You must use an unhooking mat for all forms of fishing.

  • Use Micro barb hooks only - 12 or below, particularly when fishing for carp. For silver fish only use barbless hooks. Barbed hooks are strictly prohibited. Recommended main lines no less than 4lb, no braided line to be used. The use of any form of lead shot is strictly prohibited. The use of leadcore lines is strictly prohibited.

  • Particle baits are banned but the of sweetcorn, hemp and carp pellets is permitted. The use of dog and cat food, nut-based or ground bait is not allowed.

  • Unless you obtain permission first, there is a limit of one rod per person fishing, and the use of fishing poles is prohibited.

  • If in any doubt about the fishing rules, or circumstances about what is allowed, please contact Reception who will answer any questions you have.
