Caledonian Canal – The majestic Caledonian Canal is considered by many as one of the greatest waterways of the world. Running from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east, this 60 mile coast to coast channel passes through exciting towns and villages, spectacular lochs, and beautiful countryside.

The Caledonian Canal represents a triumph of British civil engineering innovation, is littered with iconic features and makes a significant contribution to the breath-taking landscape of the Great Glen. Its cultural significance should be regarded as being of international, not just national, importance.

Originally the ‘Tomnahurich Bridge’ Keeper’s house, this lovely holiday cottage is set on the banks of the Caledonian Canal in a semi-rural waterfront position alongside the Tomnahurich Swing Bridge. Located just 1 mile from the centre of Inverness.

Crinan Canal – Every year nearly 2,000 boats make the journey along the 9 miles of “Britain’s most beautiful shortcut”.
