Located in the heart of the Isle of Wight, Four Lakes Retreat is a new unique holiday experience to the island. Surrounded by stocked man made fishing lakes In Three Lodge is one of five lodges with a private garden at the water’s edge. Beautifully and lovingly decorated this is space where you can relax and unwind but you are within easy distance of everything that this small island has to offer.

The lodge is a stunning and unusual curved design creating a peaceful and welcoming ambience on arrival. You are welcomed with an array of flowers at the entrance and it is blanketed in grass on the roof and sides which is soothing and attractive to the eye. Step through the patio doors to a welcoming space where all windows and doors overlook the lake. The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area is the social focal point and at either end are the bedrooms. Sleeping 4 guests the lodge is perfect for a family getaway with a king size double bedroom and a twin bunk bedroom where the beds are not actually on top of each other but are in a diagonal layout. The bedrooms offer peaceful views across the water whilst you have your morning cuppa. For extra quirkiness the shower room is built into the curve of the lodge.

To make the most of the tranquil outside space you have an undercover gazebo which is kitted out with a table tennis table and football table. If you are looking for a bit of relaxation then there is a chill out area with some relaxing chairs and bean bags so grab a book and enjoy the solitude. After a busy day soak your aching feet in the wood fired hot tub, then dine al fresco with the BBQ provided. Relax on the patio near the water’s edge whilst you watch the wildlife start to retire for the evening before the sun goes down.

The lodge is no more than 30 minutes away from many of the island’s attractions so there is plenty to see and do such as the stunning Osborne House which is the grand stately home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Marvel at the opulent furnishings in the state rooms, take in the beauty of the Italian landscaped gardens and finish with an ice cream and a stroll on the private beach. There are several places to see wildlife on the island such as Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, West Wight Alpacas, a donkey sanctuary and directly across from Four Lakes is Monkey Haven. Alternatively, you may wish to head to the coast for a day and enjoy a nostalgic day at the seaside and have fish and chips on the seafront. However you spend your time at Four Lakes your well-earned break will rejuvenate and recharge the batteries so you appreciate the slower pace of life long after your return home.
