Situated in the Central Highlands, on the shores of beautiful Loch Tay, the Loch Tay Highland Lodges estate in Perthshire can be found in one of the most stunningly scenic areas of Scotland. It is surrounded by dramatic mountains, breath-taking lochs, parkland and crystal clear rivers and is within easy driving distance of Edinburgh, Sterling and Glasgow. Ideal for visitors who are seeking a tranquil, self-catering retreat, these comfortable lodges are perfect for couples or families, activity holidays or a leisurely fishing break with friends. Pheasant Rock sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and has an absolutely lovely setting, providing you with some incredible views across the loch. Set on a single level, this lovely detached lodge has been modernised and is furnished to a high standard; the open-plan living area features a well-equipped kitchen which has a cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave; there is a sturdy dining table with 6 upholstered chairs and a very cosy sofa area (3 comfy sofas) plus a wonderful ‘feature’ wood burner – just perfect for fresh mornings or chilly evenings! Floor to ceiling windows give you some fabulous views across the waters of the loch towards the wonderful mountains and hillside woodland beyond. At the side of the lodge, accessed directly from the living room, you’ll find a spacious south-facing balcony with its own outdoor furniture – perfect for enjoying a few al fresco meals or a wee dram in the evening whilst admiring your amazing surroundings. There is a large flat screen TV/DVD player and Wifi is available throughout the property. Pheasant Rock has one en-suite double bedroom and two twin rooms. A spacious and modern family bathroom provides you with a full size bath (shower over), WC and hand basin. Bed linen and towels provided. Allocated parking is available for two cars at the side of the lodge.
There are numerous places to visit for off-site activities or days out discovering the local area. Why not feed the animals at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, take a Highland Jeep Safari, go quad biking or white water rafting; take a boat trip around Loch Tay or enjoy a relaxing round of golf in nearby Killin? History enthusiasts can visit nearby Castle Menzies or Doune Castle (where the TV series Outlander is filmed) and nature lovers can take a walk around the beautiful Dochart Falls. During the evening, you can even visit Birks Cinema at Aberfeldy to watch the latest blockbuster!
The Boathouse restaurant and bar serves up a hearty Scottish-inspired menu with a great range of produce including Shetland mussels, freshly landed fish, steak pie or haggis with ‘neeps & tatties’. Special themed evenings take place, mostly during the summer months, and the bar area offers a cosy welcome if you fancy a drink or two. There‘s also a spacious outdoor balcony area overlooking the impressive loch, a marvellous place to enjoy sunny afternoons or the amazing night skies. Location Information
Pheasant Rock is located at Loch Tay in the Scottish Highlands. Only a short drive to the pretty village of Killin with a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
The Falls of Dochart is located just outside Killin towards the western end of Loch Tay.
There are numerous attractions in the local area, including The Ben Lawers Mountain Range, Loch Tay Safaris, White Water Rafting, McQueen Gin Distillery and Castle Menzies.
The property is set in a private 140 acre Highland estate. On-site facilities include a bistro, a great range of outdoor activities and excellent fishing.
