Deer Walk Lodge is a gorgeous log cabin holiday lodge situated at Wall Eden Farm, near Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset and enjoys a stunning position in the Somerset countryside. One of eight holiday lodges set on an ex-dairy farm, the animals onsite include chickens which supply the local farm shop with fresh eggs.

Inside, this comfortable holiday lodge sleeps 5 people in one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. The cosy living / dining area features spacious seating and a lovely log burner for cooler evenings spent in front of the fire. From the living room there are double doors leading out to decking, which is equipped with a picnic table and BBQ; perfect for a spot of al fresco dining.

An excellent choice for families or groups of friends, Wall Eden Farm offers activities to keep everybody entertained including paddleboards, kayaking, canoeing, archery, shooting and axe throwing! Fishing is also available on the nearby River Brue and at a small course-fishing pond onsite. Plus, there’s a café / bar for snacks and drinks.

Deer Walk Lodge is classed as a bronze-standard ‘accessible’ log cabin, with parking close by and level access with double door entry (with a small lip). Along with the usual family bathroom, there is a wet room with wash basin, mirror & towel rail (no WC) plus a range of equipment that you can hire such as profile beds, commode chairs and shower chairs, should they be required.

Wall Eden Farm is a popular holiday location in a particularly pretty part of Somerset. The farm is situated in the perfect place for exploring Somerset and is about 15 minutes’ drive from the coast.

Security Deposit - Please note that a £200 security deposit will be held on the payment card (not deducted from the account). Should any damage to the property occur or in the event that the property is left in an unacceptable condition Wall Eden Farm reserve the right to charge the card.

Location Information

Wall Eden Farm is located on the banks of the River Brue.

Range of activities available onsite (charges apply including axe throwing (12yrs +), air rifle shooting (7yrs +), canoe and kayak hire (4yrs + & there must be 2 adults on the water) and archery (7yrs +).

Exmoor National Park is only a 50 minute drive away.

There are numerous attractions and villages in the local area, including Longleat Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Weston Super Mare, Bath and the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Terms & Conditions


We want to make sure your stay with us is fabulous, relaxing and an enjoyable experience. It’s important to us that everyone has a wonderful time and would like to come back to our lovely retreat time and time again. The following terms and conditions are there to protect everyone and ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Somerset.

Payment:

Deposit – We require £150.00 per lodge or £100.00 per glamping unit as a non-refundable deposit. Your non-refundable deposit is a booking fee to cover administrative costs incurred when processing your reservation at Wall Eden. Alternatively, you can choose to pay the full balance upon making the reservation. Please note, if cancelled or postponed, we are unable to use a non-refundable deposit for one particular unit of accommodation against the balance due for other accommodation booked. If the unit of accommodation is cancelled or no longer required, you will lose the non-refundable deposit.

Booking within 10 weeks?

If booking within 10 weeks of your arrival date the full balance of your reservation will be due upon booking.

Full Balance – The remaining balance of accommodation is due 10 weeks prior to the arrival date of your holiday. Please note it is your responsibility to contact Wall Eden Farm to arrange payment of the final balance.

However, Wall Eden Farm will send a payment reminder letter close to date of payment and attempt to contact you with the details provided on your booking form, if we are unable to contact you your booking may be cancelled.

Wall Eden Farm reserve the right to process the balance of your stay using the pre-authorised payment card. For example the payment card used for the deposit, will also be used for the final balance, unless we are advised otherwise notified prior to the 10 week balance due date.

Please note Wall Eden Farm reserve the right to cancel your booking if the balance of your holiday has not been paid.

Please note all reservations include VAT at 20%.

Our Agreement:

A contract (agreement) is formed as soon as Wall Eden have received the payment for your reservation, whether a non-refundable deposit or balance payment.

This agreement binds you and your party, including day visitors to the terms and conditions set out within. It is your responsibility to ensure all members of your party abide by these terms and conditions throughout your stay.

What’s included?

The price for your break includes use of the specified accommodation as per your booking confirmation – please ensure you check your booking confirmation as amendments to accommodation types/names cannot be after the date of booking. The accommodation booked is for you as the lead guest and the specified number of guests for that property. Prior to booking, please ensure you check the number of guests permitted within each property by visiting our website.

All bed linen (including sheets, duvets and pillows), towels, heating and electric costs are included in the cost of your holiday.

Please note activities are not included in the price of your accommodation.

Booking Activities:

  • Please book any activities prior to arrival, as this will help us to ensure you and your party are able to participate in the activities offered by Wall Eden.
  • Please note we cannot guarantee availability as the sessions are on a first come first served basis – therefore booking in advance is highly recommended.
  • All activity bookings are non-refundable and are subject to the terms and conditions at www.walledenadventure.co.uk, including minimum age requirements.
  • On Site Amenities:

  • Onsite we have a range of amenities for your enjoyment, including a function room, coffee house, bar and farm shop. Please note the opening hours and days will fluctuate dependent on the time of year. Please ensure you check our website for opening hours to avoid disappointment during your stay.
  • Arrival:

  • Prior to arrival please check you have received the full payment booking confirmation, within this you will find a four digit pin code.
  • Upon arrival please use this code to access the keys for your property, the key safe is located on the front of each property. Alternatively, if arriving during reception opening hours, please feel free to check in at reception.
  • Check in time is anytime after 4pm, if you would like an earlier or later check in please contact us to arrange this prior to the day of arrival, we will do our upmost to accommodate this.
  • In order to reduce traffic volume we ask that a maximum of two cars per unit of accommodation access the site. Please inform us if this is not possible, as we can suggest alternative on site parking.
  • Departure:

  • Departure time is 10am.
  • We offer a midday checkout for a £50.00 supplement for lodge stays and a £40.00 supplement for glamping pod, yurt and bell tent stays (please book in advance of arrival and please note the hot tub cannot be used after 10am due to cleaning and refilling process)
  • The accommodation must be left in the condition in which it is hired. Please note if the accommodation is left in an unacceptable condition there will be an additional cleaning charge, the minimum charge is £75.00.
  • Please lock the property and place the keys back in the key safe box on departure.
  • Customer parking:

  • Your accommodation will have a designated parking space, please ask at reception if you are unsure of where to park.
  • Please do not park on any of the grass or paved areas.
  • Please note we will not be held responsible for any damage to your vehicle or theft of items from your vehicle whilst your vehicle is parked at Wall Eden Farm. We will of course help if any of the above situations were to occur.
  • Parental Responsibility:

    During your stay you are responsible for all members of your party, including children, this includes areas within your accommodation, the general site, licensed areas including the bar and function room and near ponds, rivers and waterways.

    Please note if you your children are under the age of 18, you will be required to supervise your children during any paid for activities; and the required adult to child ratios will apply.

    Special Requirements and Disabilities:

    At Wall Eden we aim to be as inclusive as possible and pride ourselves in supporting those with special requirements such as restricted mobility, a disability, medical or other requirements. Please view our access statement for a detailed explanation of the site and the accommodation types. Please ensure you have read this document thoroughly prior to making a reservation or visiting the site.

    If you would like further information on the suitability of the site and accommodation please contact our main reception, whom will endeavour to answer any questions you may have and discuss any reasonable adjustments that we are able to make.

    Wall Eden are able to supply, for an additional supplement, a range of mobility aids including profile beds, showers chair and toilet frames (subject to availability and prior booking).

    Visitors with Dogs:

    We welcome dogs here at the farm, however we charge a small £10.00 per night fee per pet which must be booked in advance. Our dog friendly lodges/pods are Deer Walk, Badgers Rest, Blackberry and Strawberry. If you are bringing your well behaved dog with you, please be aware of the following rules:

  • He/she must be kept on a lead at all times as there is livestock roaming free on the farm.
  • All waste must be bagged immediately and deposed of in the litter bins.
  • We do ask that you do not allow your dog on the furniture or beds.
  • Please do not leave your dog alone in the accommodation, your dog is on holiday too.
  • Please note if the accommodation, furniture or linen/towels are left in an unacceptable condition there will be an additional cleaning charge, the minimum charge is £75.00. This will deducted from the security deposit as outlined in the booking confirmation.

  • Cancelled more than 8 weeks prior to your stay: Loss of Deposit
  • Cancelled within 8 weeks of stay: Loss of Deposit and Balance Payment
  • Please note Wall Eden Farm reserve the right to cancel your booking if the balance of your holiday has not been paid.

    Insurance:

  • We do recommend that you seek independent travel insurance for incidents beyond your control.
  • Booking Protect offer holiday insurance during the Wall Eden checkout process, please ensure you ready and fully understand the insurance cover before accepting. Please note Wall Eden are not liable for any insurance cover selected.
  • Smoking:

  • Smoking is any of the accommodation or communal areas is prohibited by law and you will be fined up to £1000 for damage caused.
  • Damages:

  • If there are any damages please let us know immediately. You will not be charged for minor breakages, including crockery and glassware.
  • Unfortunately we have to charge for major breakages such as electrical items (including TV’s), hot tubs, windows and other items.
  • We reserve the right to charge you for any missing items, extra cleaning or damage.
  • Wireless Internet:

  • All accommodation units (excluding the bell tents) have wireless internet.
  • This facility does not include any particular security or age control measures and requires full continuous parental supervision.
  • General:

  • Due to the tranquillity of our environment here in beautiful Somerset, we ask that everyone is considerate to their neighbours and keeps the noise to a minimum after 10pm.
  • Disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination of your self-catering holiday.
  • Large groups may be asked to pay a security payment, this is refundable on departure.
  • The maximum number of guests in each accommodation unit (as specified on our website) must not be exceeded, unless otherwise agreed. Any additional guests would be moved to an additional accommodation unit, subject to availability, and you would be liable for this charge (the additional hire charge would be from the check in date of the original booking).
  • Force Majeure:

    Wall Eden Farm are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events. We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.

    Third Party Vouchers:

  • All third party vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher supplier, and upon booking will be subject to the booking terms and conditions as set out by Wall Eden. Please ensure you check the fine details of each voucher prior to purchasing, as many have date restrictions and supplements associated with them.
  • On occasions, at the total discretion of Wall Eden, it may be possible to offer accommodation that is not included with the voucher supplied. If offered, any upgrades would be subject to supplementary fees. Please note being offered alternative accommodation, not included by the voucher, is not guaranteed and can only be offered in certain circumstances.

    Important Information

    • Fishing available on-site on a private stretch of the River Brue or the small coarse pond.
    • The variety of fish in the River Brue and local area include: roach, rudd, chubb, carp, eel, gudgeon, pike, perch & bream.
    • Fishing tackle is available to hire.
    • Local Fly Fishing available at: Hawkridge (20 minutes), Chew Valley Lakes (45 mins), Exe Valley Fisheries (70 mins)
    • Local angling and coarse fishing available at: Emerald Fishery (2 miles), The River Brue and River Huntspill
    • The River Brue can be fished on from the 16th June until the 14th March with a valid fishing license.

    Bath - The historic City of Bath is only an hour away from the farm.

    The Fleet Air Arm Museum - Europe's largest naval aviation collection including aircraft from both World Wars and a concorde.

    Wells Cathedral - Located in the medieval City of Wells.

    Cheddar - A village only 30 minutes away, go and explore the Cheddar Gorge, Caves and Wookey hole.

    Weston-Super-Mare - A fun and popular seaside resort with an aquarium, amusements and a museum. (35 mins)

    Glastonbury - An interesting place, steeped in history. Attractions include the Abbey, Tor, Chalice Well Gardens and Glastonbury Festival

    Access Information

    • Wall Eden is on an ex dairy farm and so still has a traditional rustic charm feel to it.
    • All tracks and pathways are gravelled but may be a little uneven in places.
    • Other areas of the site are grassy and may be a bit uneven around the pods, pond, river and cabins.
    • The reception is located at the top of the farm track and is accessed via a paved ramp. There is a slight lip on the door to gain access inside.
    • Parking is nearby.
    • Level access via a ramp or 2 steps up to the decking.
    • Wet room.
    • The lodge is not wheelchair accessible.
    • Assistance dogs are permitted in Deer Walk Lodge at a nightly charge of £5.00.
    • Shower chair (stationary rubber footed) and/or toilet frame available free of charge. (Must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance)
    • Fishing available on-site on a private stretch of the River Brue or the small coarse pond. The ground will be uneven in places and will be a mixture of gravel path and grass.
