General
The Bike Shed is a bright and airy 10 person holiday cottage situated on the Upper Peak Forest Canal at New Mills Marina, in the North West corner of the beautiful Peak District.
Spacious and comfortably furnished, this large 4 bedroom holiday property is ideal for big family groups or a get together with friends. On the ground floor there is a bunk room with adjoining bathroom; then on the first floor there are two double rooms and a 4 person bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. The first floor open plan living / dining and kitchen area is a cosy ‘social hub’ and has lovely wood burning stove, which is ideal for cooler months. There are patio doors leading from the living area which open on to a large furnished balcony, providing sweeping views across the Upper Peak Forest Canal, Kinder Scout and the surrounding hills.
New Mills is set in an area of spectacular natural beauty, standing above a natural rocky gorge known as ‘The Torrs’ where the River Sett joins the River Goyt. In the town there’s a great range of restaurants, cafés, pubs and takeaways. During your stay, why not make time to explore more of the surrounding area? The nearby spa town of Buxton is particularly worth a visit.
